Here is the email you asked me to send. I am requesting$250 from the City to buy snacks for children at the Library's summer program at Bessemer and Fairmount Park. This program provides free books, food and educational activities for children who otherwise might not have access to any of those things. Last year,we gave away almost 900 free snacks to children over June and July-three times as many as the previous year! We also gave away over 6,000 books. Our children are hungry in body and mind. We appreciate your support to help feed them! Thank you, Maria
