.
ProjectPresently, Corwin’s playground is approximately 44,000 square feet in area
with an asphalt base, basketball hoops, tether ball poles, and foursquare. The proposed

school and during lunch. Proposed site amenities include group spinning and swinging
elements, open-ended play activities, net and balance elements, and outdoor classroom
furnishings.
GOCO requires schools applying for the School Yard Initiative to partner with eligible
local government entities to sponsor the grant application and serve as the fiscal agent.
According to GOCO, local governments are not precluded from applying for other
GOCO grants while sponsoring a School Yard Initiative grant for one or more schools.
