SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO CITY-COUNTY
LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES
SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints two members to the Pueblo City-County Library District Board of
Trustees to serve five-year terms expiring December 31, 2022 and one member to complete a
five-year term expiring December 31, 2018.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Pueblo City-County Library District Board of Trustees are made on an annual
st
basis selecting individuals to serve five-year terms expiring on December 31 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Committee members Marlene Bregar and Lyndell Gairaud there are
two appointments that need to be made to serve five-year terms expiring December 31, 2022 on
the Pueblo City-County Library District Board of Trustees. Both Incumbents wish to be
reconsidered for reappointment. Due to the resignation of Committee member Donna Pickman,
there is one appointment available to complete a five-year term expiring December 31, 2018.
Following advertisements in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City’s webpage
seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, five applications were received. All applicants are
residents of the City of Pueblo. Joint interviews were conducted on December 19, 2017 by City
Council President Stephen G. Nawrocki, Councilmember Ed Brown, County Commissioner Terry
Hart and County Commissioner Sal Pace to select appointments.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
