CITY OF PUEBLO AND PUEBLO POLICE DEPARTMENT RELATING TO

BACKGROUND:
The Pueblo Police Department needs a replacement van for the SWAT Team to carry personnel
and equipment during call outs. The Senior Resource Development Agency (SRDA) advised they
have a van they can donate to the Pueblo Police Department SWAT team which can be outfitted
to carry personnel and equipment to and from SWAT call outs.
The van is a 2010 Ford van valued at $5000.00. This van is in much better mechanical condition
than the 1982 Chevrolet van currently being used and should serve the Pueblo Police Department
SWAT Team for many years to come.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There will be costs to paint and modify the vehicle for SWAT Team use. These costs will be paid
through the Police Department’s operating budget. The estimated cost for paint and minor body
work $3500.00, modifications by Auto Shops $3200.00, police markings $300.00.
