HomeMy WebLinkAbout13829RESOLUTION NO. 13829 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2017 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO ARTS ALLIANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,800 TO SPONSOR A DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL AFFAIRS (DOLA) GRANT MATCH BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Payment not to exceed $2,800 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2017 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to The Pueblo Arts Alliance for assistance with a Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) grant match. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval. Nawrocki SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2017 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO ARTS ALLIANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,800 TO SPONSOR A DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL AFFAIRS (DOLA) GRANT MATCH SUMMARY: The Pueblo Arts Alliance has requested assistance with a $2,800 DOLA grant match. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Ordinance No. 9035 was passed on August 22, 2016 entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with DOLA and the University of Colorado Denver for technical assistance for architectural design. Resolution No. 13499 was passed on August 22, 2016 approving an agreement between the City of Pueblo and the Pueblo Arts Alliance relating to this project. BACKGROUND: Council President Stephen G. Nawrocki is requesting funding to sponsor this grant match. The Pueblo Arts Alliance has requested assistance from the City of Pueblo to meet the grant match of $2,800 outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding established in Pueblo City Ordinance No. 9035 dated August 22, 2016. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $2,800 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2017 General Fund Budget to The Pueblo Arts Alliance. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not Applicable. ALTERNATIVES: Not applicable. RECOMMENDATION: This Resolution is at the request of Council President Stephen G.
