Dear Members of the City Council:
Thank you for your ongoing support of the Pueblo Human Relations Commission to promote
the dignity and well-being of every citizen in Pueblo. Over the past year we continued our work
from 2016 to address the opioid crisis in our community. In July 2017,we received approval
from the Pueblo County Board of Health to open a needle exchange center, the Pueblo Harm
Reduction Center, which receives used needles from users, sponsors community sweeps of
discarded needles, and properly disposes of them. Through collaborative partnerships, we are
also working to create a community resource center where addicts can find the help they need
to become drug-free and return to our community as productive citizens.
We are asking for your support as a Corporate Sponsor at our 2017 Fundraising Breakfast on
Wednesday,October 4,7:30 am at the Historic Union Depot, 132 West B Street, Pueblo. This
year's Breakfast will honor our Pueblo heroes Senator and Mrs. Leroy Garcia,Jessica Thurman,
Department of Social Services, and Lindsay Reeves, HealthSolutions for their tireless efforts in
creating opportunities for Pueblo to make positive changes for our community. Our keynote
speaker will be Rev.John Mark Hild, Community Activist for LGBTQ+ homeless youths in Pueblo.
Corporate sponsorships provide an opportunity for your organization to support our efforts at
the following levels:
Table Sponsor Gold Sponsor
Level-$300 Level -$500
Reserved seating for 8
Placement of company logo in the Breakfast Program
Mention of company in all press releases and briefings

We would like to offer you a new category of sponsorship that would not tie Council members
to filling a table of eight people at the breakfast. The range of$300 to$500 would be
appropriate and we would place the City Council's name in the breakfast program and/or
mention you in press releases and briefing.
Thank you for your consideration. If you would like more information please feel free to talk
with myself or the staff at the HRC, 542-0112.
Sincerely,
Ed Brown
