HomeMy WebLinkAbout13727 RESOLUTION NO. 13727 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND I.J. HILL APPRAISAL SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, the City of Pueblo receives federal grant funding, which require the completion of appraisals that comply with the requirements established in 49 CFR §24.2(a)(3) and 49 CFR §24.103; and WHEREAS, it is considered beneficial to the City to contract with a single contactor; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Professional Services Agreement between I.J. Hill Appraisal Services and the City of Pueblo dated July 24, 2017, for appraisal services, is hereby approved in substantially the form attached hereto, with such minor changes therein as shall be approved by the President of City Council and the City Attorney. SECTION 2. Funding for the services are budgeted and appropriated in Funds 250, 251 and 241. SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the contract to effectuate the transactions described therein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. HILL APPRAISAL SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME SUMMARY: This Resolution awards a professional services agreement to I.J. Hill Appraisal Services for appraisal services as required by the City. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: There has been no previous City Council action. BACKGROUND: The Department of Housing and Citizen Services requires appraisals to be completed for some of its federally funded projects and is required to follow the federal procurement requirements. A request for proposals was issued in May of 2017 for said services. Only one response was received. I.J. Hill Appraisal Services was the responsive bidder. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding for the services are budgeted and appropriated in Funds 250, 251, and 241. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None ALTERNATIVES: If the Resolution is not approved, the City will be in non-compliance with the grant requirements.
