RESOLUTION NO. 13705
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE ZONING
BOARD OF APPEALS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
Roderick (Rodger) Ortiz is hereby appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals to complete
a four-year term expiring June 30, 2019.
SECTION 2:
Steve Anselmo is hereby appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve a four-year
term expiring June 30, 2021
SECTION 3
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 4
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE ZONING BOARD OF
APPEALS
SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints two members to the Zoning Board of Appeals. One is to complete a
four-year term expiring June 30, 2019 and one is to serve a four-year term expiring June 30,
2021.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Zoning Board of Appeals are made on an annual basis selecting individuals
th
to serve four-year terms expiring on June 30 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of member Mr. Steve Anselmo and the resignation of member Ms.
Allison Ernst there are two positions available on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Steve
Anselmo does wish to be considered for reappointment.
Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain, and an announcement on the
City Clerk’s webpage and the City of Pueblo social media outlets the following application was
received.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals receive $25.00 for each regular or special meeting
actually attended. The Chairman of the Board receives as additional compensation the sum of
$50.00 per month for each month of service as Chairman. These monies are allocated in the
Planning and Community Services annual budget
.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
The Zoning Board of Appeals hears and determines appeals from refusal of building permits,
makes special exceptions to the terms of the zoning regulations in harmony with their general
purpose and intent and authorizes variances from the strict applications of regulations in such
situations and subject to such limitations as may be set by ordinance
ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and readvertise for additional applications.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
