Main Street, Suite 652 ?-1),1! Downtown Pueblo, CO 81003 719 543-7155 Association margaret@pueblodowntown.com www.pueblodowntown.com February 10, 2017 From: Margaret Ward-Masias, Executive Director To: Sam Azad, City Manager Re: City table at Dancing with the Pueblo Starz Message: The Pueblo Downtown Association would like to ask the City of Pueblo to purchase a table for 8 at the July 29, 2017 Dancing with the Pueblo Starz event; tables are priced at $600 (tickets purchased individually are $80 per ticket). The event includes a full plated dinner in addition to entertainment. This event is our largest fund-raiser of year. It is well publicized and draws a crowd of 200 to 300 people. The event is a "competition" between dance teams, and in the past, has included police and sheriffs employees as well a council people. The competitors do take it seriously, but they also realize that the entire program is designed to be fun and entertaining. We use proceeds from this for streetscape efforts, including, but not limited to purchasing and maintenance of street furniture, decorating the area for the Christmas holidays, watering plants in the on sidewalk planters between May and October. The display of lights at Headwaters Plaza last year is one example of use of this sort of funding. Thank you for your help. ()., ‘,, ,, E / (j ,aib ..e, O
