A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PUEBLO BOARD OF
DIRECTORS – PUBLIC HOUSING RESIDENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, THAT:
SECTION 1
The following individual is hereby appointed to the Housing Authority of the City of
Pueblo Board of Directors – Public Housing Resident for a five-year term expiring July 1, 2022.
Michael Varadi
SECTION 2
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 3
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

THE CITY OF PUEBLO BOARD OF DIRECTORS – PUBLIC HOUSING
RESIDENT
SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints a member to the Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo Board of
Directors for a five-year term expiring July 1, 2022. Pursuant to C.R.S. § 29-4-205 (3.5) states
in part that one member must a resident of public housing.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Housing Authority Board are made on an annual basis selecting individuals

to serve five-year terms expiring on July 1 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Board Member Glynda Bulman, public housing resident, there is
one position available on the Housing Authority Board of Directors. Ms. Bulman is not eligible
for reappointment due to term limits.
Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City
Clerk’s webpage and the City of Pueblo’s social media outlets, applications were received from
the following individuals:

Michael Varadi Resident of the City of Pueblo New
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
