A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE EL
CENTRO DEL QUINTO SOL RECREATION CENTER
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the El Centro Del Quinto Sol
Recreation Center Board of Directors to each serve a three-year term expiring April 30,
2020.
TRAVIS ALEMAN
ANTHONY CARBAJAL
RUDY MARTINEZ
SECTION 2:
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 3:
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This resolution appoints members to the El Centro Del Quinto Sol Recreation Center Board of
Directors for a three-year term expiring April 30, 2020.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the El Centro Del Quinto Sol Recreation Center Board of Directors are made
on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve three-year terms expiring on April 30th of each
year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of members Anthony Carbajal, Cynthia Ortiz-Fuentes and Katherine
Trujillo there exists three vacancies to serve three-year terms on the El Centro del Quinto Sol
Recreation Center Board of Directors. Mr. Carbajal does wish to be considered for
reappointment and due to term limits, Ms. Ortiz-Fuentes and Ms. Trujillo are not eligible to serve
a third term.
Following advertisements published in the Pueblo Chieftain, an announcement on the City
Clerk’s webpage as well as the City of Pueblo’s social media outlets seeking volunteers to serve
on this committee. Applications were received from the following individuals:
