ORDINANCE NO. 9127
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CAPITAL PROJECT NO.
CI1705 PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND
EQUIPMENT FOR PUEBLO PRIDE PARK, AND BUDGETING
AND APPROPRIATING $50,000 FOR SAID PROJECT
WHEREAS, the playground equipment in Pueblo Pride Park had to be removed several
years ago due to safety concerns, and;
WHEREAS, the funding has not been available in the years since to replace the
playground equipment, and;
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the General Fund to finance the cost of the
purchase of new playground equipment for Pueblo Pride Park; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Capital project No. CI1705 Purchase of Playground Equipment for Pueblo Pride Park is
hereby created.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $50,000 are hereby budgeted and appropriated from the General
Fund fund balance into project CI1705 Purchase of Playground Equipment for Pueblo Pride Park
for the purchase and installation of said playground equipment.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Ordinance and to effectuate the policies and procedures
described therein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

This Ordinance would provide funding for the purchase and installation of playground equipment
for Pueblo Pride Park.

BACKGROUND:

Several years ago, the playground equipment at Pueblo Pride Park (at the corner of W. 13 Street
and San Francisco) had to be removed due to safety concerns. In the years since, funds have
not been available to replace the equipment
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The cost of the playground equipment is estimated to be approximately $50,000.
