AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BRIDGE REPAIR
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT HU-1703, BUDGETING AND
TRANSFERING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000
FROM HU-1502 MAIN STREET/ UNION AVENUE BRIDGE
OVERLAY INTO SAID PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Bridge Repair Construction Project HU-1703 is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds for said project shall be transferred from Project Code HU-1502 Main Street/
Union Avenue Bridge Overlay.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of the Ordinance and Agreement to effectuate the
policies and procedures described therein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approval.

PROJECT HU-1703, BUDGETING AND TRANSFERING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 FROM HU-1502 MAIN STREET/ UNION AVENUE
BRIDGE OVERLAY INTO SAID PROJECT
SUMMARY:
This ordinance would establish the Bridge Repair Construction Project HU-1703. The project
consists of replacing an impact attenuator on the Main Street bridge and replacing guardrail and
posts at the Summit and Adams bridge over the Bessemer Ditch and any other incidental items
relating to the construction as specified in the plans and the specifications.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The impact attenuator and guardrail was hit and damaged beyond repair by vehicles. The only
option is to remove the damaged equipment and replace it with new equipment at both sites. Both
items, are necessary to provide additional safety to motorists.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The $50,000 will be used for necessary bridge repairs.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this Ordinance will result in cancellation of the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of this Ordinance.
