AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MEMORIAL HALL
ORGAN PROJECT, NO. PL1701, ACCEPTING FUNDS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $14,036.68 FROM THE PUEBLO URBAN
RENEWAL AUTHORITY, TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $12,903.59 FROM THE MEMORIAL HALL
ORGAN PROJECT NO. CO0802 TO PROJECT PL1701,
AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $26,940.27 TO PL1701 RELATING TO THE
MEMORIAL HALL ORGAN PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority approved the Memorial Hall
donation fund balance be transferred to the City of Pueblo, Resolution No. 2017-7 dated
January 10, 2017; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Memorial Hall Organ Project, No. PL1701 is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $14,036.68 shall be accepted from the Pueblo Urban
Renewal Authority and deposited to PL1701.
SECTION 3.
Funds in the amount of $12,903.59 shall be transferred from the Memorial Hall
Organ Project CO0802 and deposited in the Memorial Hall Organ Project, PL1701.
SECTION 4.
Funds in the amount of $26,940.27 are hereby budgeted and appropriated for the
Memorial Hall Organ Project, PL1701.
SECTION 5.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of the Ordinance to effectuate the policies and
procedures described therein.
SECTION 6.
This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and
approval.

SUMMARY:
Donations were collected by the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority for the enhancements
to the Memorial Hall Renovation Project. The renovation enhancements have been
completed. There is a need for funds to rehabilitate the historic Austin Organ in Memorial
Hall. The PURA is transferring the donation fund balance to the City to be deposited in
the Historic Organ Project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
No previous action.
BACKGROUND:
The Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority collected and administered donation funds for the
Memorial Hall Renovation Enhancement Project. The enhancements to the building have
been completed and a balance of $14,036.68 remains. It is the desire of the City to accept
the fund balance and combine with an existing Memorial Hall Organ contribution fund.
The funds will be used to rehabilitate the historic organ.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The Project budget, PL1701 will be funded through the following sources:
Existing Memorial Hall Organ contribution – CO0802 $12,903.59
Deposit of Memorial Hall Donations from PURA $14,036.68
Total $26,940.27
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Pueblo Urban Renewal approved the transfer of the balance of the Donation funds
to the City for use towards the rehabilitation of the historic Memorial Hall Organ.

None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Ordinance.
