A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2017
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PLANNING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $30,000 TO COMPLETE LANDSCAPING AND

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $30,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2017 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Planning and Community
th
Development Department to complete landscaping and irrigation on West 4 Street at
Grand Ave, Court Street, and Main Street.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a letter requesting funds to assist with the completion of
th
landscaping and irrigation at three intersections on West 4 Street.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
No previous Council action.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Lori Winner is requesting $30,000 for assistance in completing the
th
landscaping and irrigation systems on West 4 Street at Court Street, Grand Avenue, and
Main Street. These three intersections were built by CDOT using safety funds which
cannot be used for landscaping costs.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $30,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account
in the 2017 General Fund Budget to the Planning and Community Development
Department.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not Applicable.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not Applicable.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to support this funding.
RECOMMENDATION:
