RESOLUTION NO. 13615
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS TO THE
PUEBLO URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to
serve five-year terms expiring February 1, 2022.
Ralph Williams
Louie Carleo
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints two members to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to serve five-
year terms expiring on February 1, 2022.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority are made on an annual basis selecting
st
individuals to serve five-year terms expiring on February 1 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of members Don Bruestle and Roger Gomez, there are two
appointments to be made for five-year terms expiring February 1, 202. Incumbent Don Bruestle
and Incumbent Roger Gomez submitted applications for reappointment.
Following advertisements published in the Pueblo Chieftain on January 10, 2016 and an
announcement on the City Clerk’s webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this committee,
applications were received from the following individuals:

Kenneth West, New Resident of the City of Pueblo
Council member Lori Winner reviewed the applications and interviewed each candidate. She
recommends Roger Gomez to be reappointed for an additional five-year term expiring February
1, 2022 and Kenneth West be appointed for a five-year term expiring February 1, 2022.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

ALTERNATIVES:
Council could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be
extended, and order the public notice for applications be republished in order to receive
additional applications for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
