SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER TO THE
COMMUNITY SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION (CSAC) – JOINT CITY-
COUNTY APPOINTMENT
SUMMARY:
This is the resolution that ratifies the appointment of Shaundawna Nicole Ferguson to the
Community Services Advisory Commission.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint City/County appointments to the Community Services Advisory Commission are made on
an annual basis selecting individuals to serve staggered (4) four-year terms expiring on April
th
30 of each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
Following a published advertisement seeking volunteers to serve on this committee in the
Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, September 24, 2016, and announcements on both the City Clerk’s
and Pueblo County government webpages, one application was received from Shaundawna
Nicole Ferguson.
After reviewing the application of Shaundawna Nicole Ferguson following the PACOG meeting
held on October 27, 2016, she was selected for a four-year term that will expire on April 30,
2020. Also, due to previous resignations and term expirations for incumbents who did not wish
to be reappointed, there are still two City-County joint vacancies for appointments that need to
be made to complete the following four-year terms. One term expiring on April 30, 2018 and
one term expiring on April 30, 2020. Until filled these terms will remain vacant.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
