HomeMy WebLinkAbout13447 RESOLUTION NO. 13447 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSEOUT OF EXISTING WASTEWATER PROJECTS (WW1302, WW1501, AND WW1502) AND THE TRANSFER OF REMAINING BUDGETED AND APPROPRIATED WASTEWATER FUNDS FROM SUCH PROJECTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $696,504.71 TO PROJECTS TO BE DETERMINED (WW1499) WHEREAS, The City of Pueblo, each year, has budgeted and appropriated funds for a number of projects in Wastewater; and WHEREAS, the Nutrient Master Plan project (WW1302) was created and funded with a total budget of $358,549, and the project has come to completion leaving a remaining balance of $18,334.71; and WHEREAS, the Technical Energy Audit project (WW1501) was created and funded with a total budget of $478,170, and it has been determined that this particular project does not need to be performed at this time, leaving a remaining balance of $478,170; and WHEREAS, the Dirt/Oil/Grit Separator project (WW1502) was created and funded with $200,000, and it has been determined that this project is not needed at this time, leaving a remaining balance of $200,000; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The City hereby closes the aforementioned projects, and transfers the remaining budgets of such projects, totaling $696,504.71, in to Projects to be Determined (WW1499) SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the transactions described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION : Through the 2013 budget process, Nutrient Master Plan (WW1302) was created and funded. Through the 2015 budget process, Technical Energy Audit (WW1501) and Dirt/Oil/Grit Separator (WW1502) were created and funded. BACKGROUND : The Nutrient Master Plan project (WW1302) was created and funded with a total budget of $358,549, the project has come to completion leaving a remaining balance of $18,334.71. The Technical Energy Audit project (WW1501) was created and funded with a total budget of $478,170, it has been determined that this particular project does not need to be performed, leaving a remaining balance of $478,170. The Dirt/Oil/Grit Separator project (WW1502) was created and funded with $200,000, it has been determined that this project is no longer needed, leaving a remaining balance of $200,000. The combined total of the remaining funds is $696,504.71. Until it is determined what these funds will be needed for, the combined funds can be placed in Projects to be Determined (WW1499) so that each of the individual projects can be closed out. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS : There are no financial implications.
