A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $390,569.30 TO COSYLEON & COSYLEON,
INC., AND SETTING FORTH $9,400 FOR CONTINGENCIES AND
ADDITIONAL WORK FOR PROJECT NO. 16-012 – ADA CURB
RAMPS (CDBG), AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING
AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 16-012 ADA CURB RAMPS (CDBG) have been
received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of Cosyleon & Cosyleon, Inc., of Pueblo, Colorado was the
lowest of those bids determined to be responsible; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for PROJECT NO. 16-012 – ADA Curb Ramps (CDBG) is hereby awarded to
said bidder in the amount of $390,569.30.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Ordinance and the contract to effectuate the transactions
described therein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

This Resolution awards a Construction Contract to , for Project NO.
16-012 – ADA CURB RAMPS (CDBG).
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None
BACKGROUND:
This project will construct new A.D.A. compliant concrete curb ramps at street corners at
various locations in the City’s continuing effort to comply with the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). It will involve the removal and construction of curb and gutter, 4”
and 6” concrete, 7” reinforced concrete, 6” asphalt patch, and other incidental items
related to the construction of the new curb ramps. See attached Exhibit “A” for locations
of the project.
The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy of
the bid summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds for the Project will be paid out of CD1507 – ADA Curb Ramps Citywide.

ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this Resolution will result in cancellation of the project. The CDBG grant funding
would need to be re-programmed to a different project or returned to HUD.
