HomeMy WebLinkAbout13400 RESOLUTION NO. 13400 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO (HARP) FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS – CITY APPOINTMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1: The following individual is hereby appointed to Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo Foundation Board of Directors to complete a three-year term expiring December 31, 2017: Heraldo Acosta SECTION 2: The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. Nawrocki and Members of City Council CC: Sam Azad, City Manager VIA: Office of the City Clerk FROM: Gina Dutcher, City Clerk A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE HISTORIC ARKANSAS SUBJECT: RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO (HARP) FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS – CITY APPOINTMENT SUMMARY: This Resolution appoints one individual to the HARP Foundation Board of Directors to complete a three-year term expiring December 31, 2017. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Appointments to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo Foundation Board of Directors are made on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve three-year terms expiring on December st 31 of each year. BACKGROUND: Due to the due to the resignation of board member Victor Reyes, there is one term to be filled on the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Foundation Board of Directors - City Appointment, for a three year term ending 12/31/2017. Following an advertisement published in The Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, November 22, 2015 and January 10, 2016 seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, applications were received from the following individuals: Heraldo Acosta, Resident of the City of Pueblo  Crystal Estrada, Resident of the City of Pueblo  FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable for this Resolution STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None ALTERNATIVES: Council could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended, and order the public notice for applications be republished in order to receive additional applications for consideration RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution ATTACHMENTS: Applications for Heraldo Acosta and Crystal Estrada
