The street known as Villetta Carino Court is hereby changed to Vista Village Court. SECTION 2. The street known as Villetta Carino Circle is hereby changed to Vista Village Circle SECTION 3. Nawrocki and Members of City Council CC: Sam Azad, City Manager VIA: Gina Dutcher, City Clerk FROM: Steven Meier, Planning and Community Development SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE STREET NAME OF VILLETTA CARINO COURT TO VISTA VILLAGE COURT AND THE STEET NAME OF VILLETTA CARINO CIRCLE TO VISTA VILLAGE CIRCLE SUMMARY: The applicant is requesting to change the street names from Villetta Carino Court to Vista Village Court and Villetta Carino Circle to Vista Village Circle PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: The applicant is requesting to change the street names of Villetta Carino Court to Vista Village Court, and Villetta Carino Circle to Vista Village Circle. There a no properties addressed off of either of these streets, and the streets are not built. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There are no financial implications to the City or the property owners. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their January 13, 2016 Regular Meeting, voted 6-0 to recommend approval with Commissioner Latka absent. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: The Planning Department sent out Notice of the Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing to all property owners located within 300 feet of the subject property. A Public Notice poster was placed on the subject property 15 days prior to the Public Hearing. ALTERNATIVES: If City Council does not approve this Ordinance, the current street names would remain. Upon request of City Council, the Ordinance could be returned to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration of proposed modifications. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Ordinance.
