SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS FOR PARCELS
OF LAND LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF OAKSHIRE LANE
AND CROCUS PLACE FROM R-4, MIXED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, TO
R-5, MULTIPLE-RESIDENTIAL AND OFFICE DISTRICT
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance would change the City Zoning Map to facilitate multifamily residential
development on the subject property.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Housing Authority of Pueblo is requesting to rezone property at the intersection of
Oakshire Lane and Crocus Place from R-4, Mixed Residential District to R-5, Multiple-
Residential and Office District. It is the intent of the Housing Authority of Pueblo to
facilitate multifamily residential development on the subject property.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There are no financial implications for the City.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
The Planning and Zoning Commission will be considering this action on December 12,
2014, and their recommendation will be provided to City Council at the Public Hearing
on December 22, 2014.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
The Planning Department sent out Notice of the Planning and Zoning Commission
Public Hearing to all property owners located within 300 feet of the subject property.
A Public Notice poster was placed on the subject property 15 days prior to the Public
Hearing.
ALTERNATIVES:
If City Council does not approve this Ordinance, the current zoning would remain.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.
ORDINANCE NO. 8815
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING ZONING RESTRICTIONS
FOR PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED AT THE
INTERSECTION OF OAKSHIRE LANE AND CROCUS
PLACE FROM R-4, MIXED RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, TO
R-5, MULTIPLE-RESIDENTIAL AND OFFICE DISTRICT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The zoning restrictions covering parcels of land located at the intersection of
Oakshire Lane and Crocus Place are hereby changed from R-4, Mixed Residential
District to R-5, Multiple-residential and Office District and upon passage of this
Ordinance, zoning restrictions affecting R-5, Multiple-residential and Office District, shall
apply to said property as follows:
Lots 1-6, Block 9, Oakshire Hills Subdivision, together with Crocus Place
immediately adjacent to said Lots, all in The City of Pueblo, County of
Pueblo, State of Colorado.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of the Ordinance to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and approval.
