Today a group of people are working together to find ways to restore at least part of the gate to its former glory. The gate cannot be restored completely because of the changes from horse and buggy to cars and buses but much of it will be including adding wrought iron gates and replace missing vases. The committee of Aberdeen residences and the Pueblo County Historical Society would like to request a donation to help with the restoration of the City Park Gates. The committee has started to raise funds from the local residences and will be holding fundraisers and writing grants to raise the needed funds to help the City of Pueblo's Parks Department to improve the park entrance. The donation should be made to the Pueblo County Historical Society with City Park Gate Restoration in memo line. On behalf of all of the citizens and visitors to Pueblo's park, thank you for any support you can give to bring back the glory to one of Pueblo's historic images. Please feel free to contact either one of us with any questions or concerns. Sincerely, Corinne Barbara Corinne Koehler Barbara Hagerty 403 Argyle 145 Melrose Pueblo, CO 81004 Pueblo, CO 81004 719/252-5389 719/671-9129
