A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $121,800 TO JP CONSTRUCTION, LLC
OF COLORADO AND SETTING FORTH $18,270 FOR
CONTINGENCIES AND ADDITIONAL WORK FOR PROJECT
NO. 14-042 REHABILITATION OF 1535 CYPRESS AND
DEMOLITION OF 1533 CYPRESS STREET AND AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for Project No. 14-042 Rehabilitation of 1535 Cypress and
Demolition of 1533 Cypress Street, have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of JP Construction, LLC of Colorado was the lowest of those
bids determined to be responsible; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for Project NO. 14-042 Rehabilitation of 1535 Cypress and Demolition of 1533
Cypress Street, is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $121,800.
SECTION 2.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work….$18,270.
SECTION 3.
Funds for said project are available in Fund 241 and 251.
SECTION 4
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo,
a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 5
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the attached contract/agreement to effectuate
the transactions described therein.
SECTION 6
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

There has been no previous Council action on this issue.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of the site work construction of 1535 Cypress and the demolition of 1533
Cypress.
The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy of the bid
summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds for the Project are available in Fund 241 and 251.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not Applicable.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not Applicable.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this Resolution will result in cancellation of the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
