A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,751.88 TO FEDCO,
INC., AND SETTING FORTH $4,248.12 FOR
CONTINGENCIES AND ADDITIONAL WORK FOR
PROJECT NO. 14-006 – PUEBLO TRANSIT CENTER
PASSENGER SHELTER INSTALLATION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE
THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 14-006 – Transit Center Passenger
Shelter Installation have been received and examined, and;
WHEREAS, the proposal of FEDCO, Inc., of Pueblo, Colorado was the lowest of
those bids determined to be responsible; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for PROJECT NO. 14-006 – Transit Center Passenger Shelter
Installation is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $20,751.88.
SECTION 2.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional
amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and
additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work . . . . $4,248.12
SECTION 3.
Funds for said project shall be from Project Code DT1301 – Greyhound Shelter
Project
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 5.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the attached contract/agreement
to effectuate the transactions described therein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is the Bid Summary for the Pueblo Transit Center Passenger Shelter
Installation Project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Ordinance 8562 – Approving a Contract between Colorado Department of
Transportation and the City of Pueblo, establishing Project No. DT1301 – Greyhound
Shelter.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of the construction of approximately 336 square feet of 6-inch
concrete, furnishing and installing one 15’0 by 7’6” prefabricated passenger shelter.
The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy
of the bid summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds for the Project will be paid out of DT1301 – Greyhound Shelter Project.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this Resolution will result in cancellation of the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of this Resolution.
