A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING AN INTERVIEW PROCESS
FOR THE APPLICANTS OF THE PUEBLO RETAIL MARIJUANA
LICENSING AUTHORITY AND APPOINTING COUNCIL
MEMBERS TO THIS INTERVIEW PANEL
WHEREAS, City Council would like to implement an interview process for the applicants
for the Pueblo Retail Marijuana Licensing Authority; NOW, THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
Interviews shall be conducted for the applicants for the Pueblo Retail Marijuana
Licensing Authority.
SECTION 2:
Two members of City Council shall be appointed at the second regular meeting of each
year to review the applications, interview the candidates, and make a recommendation of
appointment to all members of City Council.
SECTION 3:
Ami Nawrocki and Steve Nawrocki are hereby appointed as the
Interview Panel for applicants of the Pueblo Retail Marijuana Licensing Authority to complete a
one-year term expiring January 31, 2015.
SECTION 4:
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of the Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 5:
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution implements an interview process for those individuals who submit an
application to be considered for appointment to Pueblo Retail Marijuana Licensing Authority,
created per Ordinance No. 8750, passed and approved by City Council on June 23, 2014 and
appoints two Council members to the interview panel.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Council implemented a process that includes an interview process for applicants of various
boards and commissions. Two members of the City Council shall be appointed to review the
applications, conduct the interviews of each applicant and make a recommendation of
appointment to the City Council.
BACKGROUND:
There are currently eight Council appointed boards or commissions that have been selected to
for applicant interviews. Those are Airport Advisory Committee, HARP Authority Board of
Directors, Human Relations Commission, Liquor and Beer Licensing Board, Planning and
Zoning Commission, PURA, Regional Building Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.
This Resolution will add the newly created Retail Marijuana Licensing Authority to this group.

Conduct a recruitment process for the Retail Marijuana Licensing Authority without the inclusion
