HomeMy WebLinkAbout13008 RESOLUTION NO. 13008 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2014 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN IN THE AMOUNT OF $600 TO ADVERTISE FOR THE TOWN HALL MEETING HELD ON MAY 20, 2014 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Payment in the amount of $600 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2014 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Pueblo Chieftain to advertise for the Town Hall meeting held on May 20, 2014. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has authorized payment from the Council Contingencies Account for previous Town Hall meetings. BACKGROUND: This Resolution will allow payment for the advertisement for the Town Hall meeting held on May 20, 2014. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $600 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2014 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo Chieftain. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: City Council could choose not to pay for the advertisement. RECOMMENDATION: This Resolution is at the request of City Council Members Chris Kaufman, Steve Nawrocki, and Chris Nicoll.
