A RESOLUTION AWARDING A DEMOLITION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $32,492 FOR PROJECT NO. 14-021 -

DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURE(S) AT 1821 WEST 11
STREET (CP1004) TO RESTORATION LOGISTICS, INC.,
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
EXECUTE THE SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for Project No. 14-021 Demolition of Structure(s) at 1821

West 11 Street have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of the Restoration Logistics, Inc., of Denver, Colorado,
was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.

A Contract for Project No. 14-021 Demolition of Structure at 1821 West 11
Street is hereby awarded to Restoration Logistics, Inc. in the amount of $32,492.
SECTION 2.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 3.
This demolition contract will be paid from CP1004 – Bridge Replacement – W.

11 St.
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of
Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City
thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 5.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the attached contract/agreement
to effectuate the transactions described therein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

Attached is the Bid Summary for the Demolition of Structure(s) at 1821 West 11 Street
project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
An Ordinance Accepting a Grant and entering into a contract with CDOT.
A Resolution to Award a Design Contract to URS Corporation.
BACKGROUND:
This project will consist of providing asbestos/lead-based paint abatement, demolition of
structure(s), tree removals, fence removal, utility disconnects and general site cleanup

The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy
of the bid summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:

Funds for the Project will be paid out of CP1004 – Bridge Replacement – W. 11 St.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Denial of this Resolution will result in cancellation of the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of this Resolution.
