HomeMy WebLinkAbout12968 RESOLUTION NO. 12968 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CLEAN UP PUEBLO ADVISORY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Clean Up Advisory and Planning Committee for four-year terms expiring on March 1, 2018. Karen Willson Robert Cuomo Chad Wolgram SECTION 2 The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. Daff and Members of City Council CC: Sam Azad, City Manager VIA: City Clerk’s Office FROM: Gina Dutcher, City Clerk A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE CLEAN UP PUEBLO SUBJECT: ADVISORY AND PLANNING COMMITTEE SUMMARY: This Resolution is for City Council to appoint three members to the Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee for four 4-year terms expiring March 1, 2018. Two vacancies remain on this committee, one to complete a four year term expiring March 1, 2018 and one to complete the term expiring March 1, 2017. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Appointments to the Clean Up Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee are made on an st annual basis selecting individuals to serve staggered four-year terms expiring on March 1 of each year. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expirations of Committee Members Karen Willson, Robert Cuomo, Chad Wolgram, and Tracy Erickson and the resignation of Dave Ritterling, there are five appointments needed on the Clean Up Advisory and Planning Committee. Karen Willson, Robert Cuomo and Chad Wolgram would like to be considered for reappointment. Mr. Ritterling and Ms. Erickson do not wish to be considered for reappointment. on January 19, 2014 Following advertisements published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City Clerk’s webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this committee. No new applications were received, but applications were received from the following individuals: Karen Willson - Incumbent, Resident of the City of Pueblo  Robert Cuomo - Incumbent, Resident of the City of Pueblo  Chad Wolgram - Incumbent, Resident of the City of Pueblo  There are still two vacancies on this committee. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: The Cleanup Pueblo Advisory and Planning Committee meets with the public and various community organizations in order to solicit input and prioritize the cleanup efforts within the City. ALTERNATIVES: Council could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended, and order the public notice for applications be republished in order to receive additional applications for consideration.
