Dear Steve, Members Emeritus
The Pueblo Home of Heroes Association is holding their 5'" annual Golf Ruben Archuleta
Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, May 10 at Walking Stick Golf Course. Bob Rice
This beautiful venue is new to this tournament and we are very excited to
bring this tournament to Pueblo's premiere golf course! John Verna

This event not only helps provide us with money for the upkeep of the Medal Jim Stuart
of Honor Memorial at the Convention Center but to keep our organization
working with information for and about the Medal of Honor. We also work Vice President
with veteran's groups and veteran's concerns. A wonderful part of this Andy Hauk
tournament is bringing to town recently returning war veterans from Ft. Secretary
Carson and the Wounded Warrior program to have a day of golf with local
residents and for them to meet several Medal of Honor recipients. Paulette Stuart
Treasurer
We plan this year to host 35 military veteran players and would like to Doyle Cooper
host them at no cost to the tournament. Would City Council agree to
allow those 35 to play at this tournament free of the usual golf course Board Members
costs? Jeff Chostner
Darren Cooper
We invite you all to attend the tournament's opening festivities at 8:00 Ed De Rose
a.m. so you might meet not only Medal of Honor recipients Drew Dix
and Salvatore Giunta who have been here previously for the Ron Diodosio
tournament, but recipient H.C. "Barney" Barnum who was President Ray LeMasters
of the Medal of Honor Society in 2000 when we hosted their annual Billy Martin
convention and unveiled the sculptures. I'm sure he will be so pleased Roy Miltner
to see the wonderful things that have happened in Pueblo since them.
