RESOLUTION NO. 12922
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SISTER CITIES
COMMISSION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Sister Cities Commission for
three-year terms expiring March 1, 2017.
Dan Centa
Michael Salardino
Daniel Golob
SECTION 2
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 3
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUBJECT:
CITY APPOINTMENTS
SUMMARY:
Should City Council appoint three members to the Sister Cities Commission – City Appointments for
three-year terms expiring March 1, 2017?
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Sister Cities Commission are made on an annual basis for staggered three-year
st
terms. Current terms expire on March 1 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of Commissioners Dan Centa, Carlos Maldonado, and Michael Salardino,
there are three appointments for three-year terms on the Sister Cities Commission, expiring on March
1, 2017. Mr. Maldonado does not wish to be considered for reappointment. Mr. Centa and Mr.
Salardino do wish to be considered for re-appointment. A Public Notice was published in the Pueblo
Chieftain on January 19, 2014 and an announcement was posted on the City Clerk’s webpage
seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, applications were received by the following individuals.
Dan Centa – Incumbent, Resident of the County of Pueblo
Michael Salardino – Incumbent, Resident of the City of Pueblo
Daniel Golob – New, Resident of the City of Pueblo
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None
ALTERNATIVES:
If appointments are not made, there will be three City appointment vacancies.
Remove from Agenda and readvertise for additional applications.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Resolution.
PROPOSED MOTION:
This Resolution will be placed on the Consent Agenda.
