HomeMy WebLinkAbout12910 RESOLUTION NO. 12910 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority to complete a five-year term expiring February 1, 2019. Donald J. Banner SECTION 2 The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND Due to the resignation of newly appointed board member Simon Tearpak, there is one appointment to be filled to complete a five-year term expiring February 1, 2019, on the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority. Following an advertisement published in The Pueblo Chieftain on Sunday, January 26, 2014 and an announcement on the City Clerk’s web page seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, applications were received from the following individuals:  Donald J. Banner, Resident of the City of Pueblo  Debra Mansell, Resident of the County of Pueblo  Cherie L. Sather, Resident of the City of Pueblo Resolution 12728 implemented an interview process for the applicants of the Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority. Council members Chris Kaufman and Sandra Daff reviewed applications, interviewed the three candidates by telephone on Thursday February 27, 2014 and Friday February 28, 2014 and are recommending Donald J. Banner for appointment. FINANCIAL IMPACT This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
