RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution. BACKGROUND This application is for the request of grant funding to rehabilitate Taxiway D and a portion of the aircraft parking apron at the airport. Taxiway D needs to be rehabilitated and updated to meet FAA standards and the aircraft parking apron to the north of the self-serve facilities is in need of rehabilitation. The funds requested with this application are for 95% of the funds needed for the project. A State grant has been requested that will fund 2.5% of the project and the City’s obligation will be 2.5%. FINANCIAL IMPACT The total project is estimated at $2,631,580. The application for federal assistance is for $2,500,000. The Colorado Aeronautical Board has approved and will issue a grant for $56,578 for this project based on an earlier estimate of the total project costs. Since the FAA has increased the funding for the project, the State Aeronautics Division has agreed to take an amendment to the Colorado Aeronautical Board for an additional $9,212 for their approval. The City's local match will be $65,790. Matching funds are available in the CIAN18-Grant Projects fund.
