CP1110 – PARK PLAY EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, Pueblo County provided $300,000 in funds from the proceeds of the 1-A County Ballot initiative approved in November 2006 for playground equipment repair and replacement at University Park, Drew Dix Park, and Briarwood Park that were received by the City and budgeted in CP1110 Park Play Equipment project; and WHEREAS, the transfer of $15,200.40 from PL1004 - City Park Shelter Enhancement Project will add much needed funds to complete CP1110 – Park Play Equipment, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Expenditures in the amount of $15,200.40 are hereby approved to be transferred from Capital Project, No. PL1004 – City Park Shelter Enhancement Project to CP1110 – Park Play Equipment. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and approval. CP1110 – PARK PLAY EQUIPMENT ISSUE Should City Council approve an Ordinance transferring of funds in the amount of $15,200.40 from Project No. PL1004 – City Park Shelter Enhancement Project, to Project No. CP1110 – Park Play Equipment project? RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Ordinance. BACKGROUND On December 13, 2010, Ordinance No. 8293 was passed and approved by City Council, establishing the City Park Shelter Enhancement Project No. PL1004 was approved by City Council budgeting and appropriating funds for improvements to City Park. This project included shade structures, benches, and walkways at the Kiddie Ride Complex. Pueblo County pledged to provide $300,000 in funds from the proceeds of the 1-A County Ballot initiative approved in November 2006 for improvements to Park Play Equipment (CP1110). The transfer of $15,200.40 from PL1004 City Park Shelter Enhancement Project will be required to remove and replace old, degrading play equipment in University Park, Drew Dix Park, and Briarwood Park. FINANCIAL IMPACT None
