AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
$18,909.48 FROM PROJECT NO. PL1004 – CITY PARK
SHELTER ENHANCEMENT PROJECT, TO PROJECT NO.
CP1109 – KIDDIE RIDE COMPLEX IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS, Pueblo County provided $300,000 in funds from the proceeds of the
1-A County Ballot initiative approved in November 2006 for improvements to the Kiddie
Ride Facility at City Park that were received by the City and budgeted in CP1109 Kiddie
Ride Complex Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the transfer of $18,909.48 from PL1004 - City Park Shelter
Enhancement Project will cover the short fall in CP1109 - Kiddie Ride Complex
Improvements and allow closure of the project; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Expenditures in the amount of $18,909.48 are hereby approved to be transferred
from Capital Project, No. PL1004 – City Park Shelter Enhancement Project to CP1109 -
Kiddie Ride Complex Improvement Project.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall become effective upon final passage and approval.

Should City Council approve an Ordinance transferring funds in the amount of
$18,909.48 from Project No. PL1004 – City Park Shelter Enhancement Project, to
Project No. CP1109 – Kiddie Ride Complex Improvement Project and close Project No.
CP1109?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
On December 13, 2010, Ordinance No. 8293 was passed and approved by City
Council, establishing the City Park Shelter Enhancement Project No. PL1004 budgeting
and appropriating funds for improvements to City Park. This project included shade
structures, benches, and walkways at the Kiddie Ride Complex. Pueblo County pledged
to provide $300,000 in funds from the proceeds of the 1-A County Ballot initiative
approved in November 2006 for improvements to the Kiddie Ride Complex (CP1109).
Both projects were completed in 2012. The Kiddie Ride Complex Improvement Project,
CP1109, has a current balance in the red of $18,909.48 while the City Park Shelter
Enhancement Project, PL1004, has a current balance of $34,109.88.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The transfer of $18,909.48 from PL1004 City Park Shelter Enhancement Project will
cover the short fall in CP1109 Kiddie Ride Complex Improvements and allow closure of
the project.
