Eickelman, Interim Deputy City Manager TITLE AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE CITY OF TRINIDAD, COLORADO RELATING TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT) GRANT PROJECT TITLED “REGIONAL WAYFINDING AND INTERPRETATION FOR SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO” ISSUE Should the Council enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Trinidad, Colorado relating to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Grant Project titled “Regional Wayfinding and Interpretation for Southeastern Colorado?” RECOMMENDATION City Administration recommends approval of the Ordinance. BACKGROUND The City of Pueblo is participating in the Regional Wayfinding and Interpretation for Southeastern Colorado sign project. The cost of the project should be $23,150, and the City of Pueblo has provided a $4,630 match. The location of the sign would be the El Pueblo Museum’s visitor center since it provides information on the Scenic Byways as well. FINANCIAL IMPACT The City of Pueblo has appropriated $4,630 match to the project from the Council Contingencies Account in Resolution #12715 ORDINANCE NO. 8676 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, AND THE CITY OF TRINIDAD, COLORADO RELATING TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CDOT) GRANT PROJECT TITLED “REGIONAL WAYFINDING AND INTERPRETATION FOR SOUTHEASTERN COLORADO” BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. The Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City of Trinidad, Colorado relating to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) grant project titled “Regional Wayfinding and Interpretation for Southeastern Colorado” attached hereto and having been approved as to form by the City Attorney is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The President of the City Council is authorized and directed to execute the Memorandum of Understanding in the name of the City. SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein.
