TITLE:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES
ACCOUNT IN THE 2013 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO SUICIDE
PREVENTION CENTER IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO ASSIST IN MAINTAINING
SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY
ISSUE:
Should the City Council approve a Resolution authorizing the payment of $1,000 from
the Council Contingencies Account in the 2013 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo
Suicide Prevention Center to assist in maintaining services in the community?
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of City Council Member Sandy Daff.
BACKGROUND:
The Pueblo Suicide Prevention Center has been in existence for 45 years and has
assisted numerous individuals in crisis. Maintaining services comes at a great
monetary cost. The technology to keep its services up and running is well over $10,000
per year. This funding would support the agency in its mission to serve the community.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funds in the amount of $1,000 will be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in
the 2013 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo Suicide Prevention Center.
