A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION,
AND SHORT ELLIOTT HENDRICKSON INC. (SEH) FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $683,900
RELATED TO THE RELOCATION AND REHABILITATION
OF TAXIWAYS A AND A9 AT PUEBLO MEMORIAL
AIRPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE
CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A certain Agreement for professional services, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made part thereof by reference, by and between the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and
Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH), for professional services relating to design and
construction services to relocate and rehabilitate Taxiways A and A9 at Pueblo Memorial
Airport, after having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $683,900 shall be expended from Project AP1302-Taxiway A
Rehab.
SECTION 3.
The President of the City Council is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on
behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of
the City thereto and attest the same.
SECTION 4.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
therein.
SECTION 5.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.

ISSUE
Should City Council approve an agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. to design and
oversee construction of the relocation and rehabilitation of Taxiways A and A9 at the airport?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
Due to the construction of the new runway, the FAA has determined that Taxiways A and A9
need to be relocated and rehabilitated. They have issued a grant to fund 95% of the project costs.
This agreement with Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. is for the professional services related to the
design and construction of this project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for the project in the amount of $683,900 shall be expended from Capital Project No.
AP1302-Taxiway A Rehab. An FAA grant will pay for $649,705 (95%) of the project, a CDOT-
Div. of Aeronautics grant will pay for $17,097 (2.5%) of the project and the City’s matching
funds will be $17,098 (2.5%).
