A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,664.79 TO FEDCO, INC., AND
SETTING FORTH $3,500 FOR CONTINGENCIES AND
ADDITIONAL WORK FOR PROJECT NO. 13-076 CITY PARK
DOG PARK RESTROOM – CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE
SAME
WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 13-076 - CITY PARK DOG PARK
RESTROOM – CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal of Fedco, Inc., of Pueblo, Colorado was the lowest of those
bids determined to be responsible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
A contract for PROJECT NO. 13-076 - CITY PARK DOG PARK RESTROOM –
CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $30,664.79.
SECTION 2.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount
as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work.
Contingencies and Additional Work . . . . $3,500
SECTION 3.
Funds for said project shall be from Project Code LT1113.
SECTION 4.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo,
a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the
same.
SECTION 5.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

ISSUE
Should City Council award a construction contract for PROJECT NO. 13-076 - CITY PARK
DOG PARK RESTROOM – CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION to FEDCO, INC.?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
BACKGROUND
This project will consist of the construction of concrete improvements associated with a new
restroom building within the City Park Dog Park. Construction includes the removal of curb and
gutter, concrete and asphalt and the construction of concrete curb and gutter, concrete
sidewalk, an A.D.A. curb ramp and concrete plaza area.
The work was competitively bid through the City’s Purchasing Department, and a copy of the bid
summary is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds for this project will be paid from Project No. LT1113 – Prefab Restroom No 2.
