RECOMMENDATION: This Resolution is at the request of City Council. BACKGROUND: Colorado State University-Pueblo has embarked on a three-year, $25 million fundraising “On the Move” campaign that will enhance facilities and grow enrollment. The campaign will enhance scholarships, support the renovation of the student center, add six collegiate sports, and construct a new soccer/lacrosse stadium. The final $5 million raised will add six new sports programs and renovate the existing soccer field. The additional sports programs will include men’s and women’s lacrosse, women’s swimming/diving, men’s cross country, and men’s indoor and outdoor track. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $10,000 will be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2013 General Fund Budget to the CSU-Pueblo Foundation.
