A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING AN INTERVIEW PROCESS
FOR THE APPLICANTS OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, City Council would like to implement an interview process for the applicants
of the Planning and Zoning Commission; NOW, THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
Interviews shall be conducted for the applicants for the Planning and Zoning
Commission.
SECTION 2:
Two members of City Council shall be appointed at the second regular meeting of each
year to review the applications, interview the candidates, and make a recommendation of
appointment to all members of City Council.
SECTION 3:
The officers of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of the Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 4:
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

TITLE
A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING AN INTERVIEW PROCESS FOR THE APPLICANTS OF
THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
ISSUE
Shall City Council implement an interview process for the individuals interested in applying for a
term on the Planning and Zoning Commission?
RECOMMENDATION
This Resolution is prepared at the request of City Council.
BACKGROUND
Following an informational update in regard to the appointment process for the various Council
appointed boards and commissions at the Work Session on March 4, 2013; it was the
consensus of the Council to review the possibility of conducting interviews of the applicants for
various boards and commissions.
This Resolution would implement an interview process for those individual who submit an
application to be considered for appointment to Planning and Zoning Commission. Two
members of the City Council would review the applications, conduct the interviews of each
applicant and make a recommendation of appointment to the City Council.
