HomeMy WebLinkAbout12726RESOLUTION NO. 12726 A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE LENGTH OF THE TERM FOR THE CITY COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE ON THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, it is the desire of City Council to increase the length of a term for the City Council Representatives on the Airport Advisory Committee from a one-year appointment to a two-year appointment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1: Terms for the Council Representatives on the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee are hereby changed from a one-year term to two-year terms. SECTION 2: The officers of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of the Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. RECOMMENDATION This Resolution is prepared at the request of City Council BACKGROUND During the January 14, 2013 Work Session, the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee, requested that Council President appoint the Council Representatives for more than one-year terms. Following an informational update in regard to the appointment process for the various Council appointed boards and commissions during the Work Session on March 4, 2013, it was the consensus of the Council to approve this request and increase the length of the term for the two City Council Representatives on the Airport Advisory Committee from one-year terms to two-year terms.
