A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2013
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO CHIEFTAIN
IN THE AMOUNT OF $324.20 TO ADVERTISE FOR A
NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING HELD ON APRIL 20, 2013,
AND TO THE BROTHER/SISTERHOOD OF BIKERS IN
THE AMOUNT OF $500 TO SPONSOR MAMA’S FUN DAY
IN THE PARK ON JUNE 22, 2013
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
Section 1.
Payment in the amount of $324.20 from the Council Contingencies Account in
the 2013 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to The Pueblo Chieftain for the
advertisements for the neighborhood meeting held on April 20, 2013.
Section 2.
Payment in the amount of $500 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2013 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Brother/Sisterhood of Bikers
to sponsor Mama’s Fun Day in the Park on June 22, 2013.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

ISSUE:
Should the City Council approve a Resolution authorizing the payment $824.20 from the
Council Contingencies Account to pay for an advertisement in the Pueblo Chieftain for
the neighborhood meeting held on April 20, 2013, and to pay for a sponsorship for
Mama’s Fun Day in the Park on June 22, 2013.
RECOMMENDATION:
This Resolution is at the request of City Council Member Sandy Daff.
BACKGROUND:
Council Member Daff held a neighborhood meeting on April 20, 2013. The cost of the
advertisements in the Pueblo Chieftain is $324.20.
City Council Member Daff would like to sponsor Mama’s Fun Day in the Park in the
amount of $500. The event will be held June 22, 2013.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funds in the total amount of $824.20 would be paid from the Council Contingencies
Account in the 2013 General Fund Budget in the following manner: $324.20 to the
Pueblo Chieftain and $500 to the Brother/Sisterhood of Bikers.
