HomeMy WebLinkAbout12676RESOLUTION NO. 12676 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $63,228.69 TO DOUG VAUGHN, LLC, AND SETTING FORTH $10,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES AND ADDITIONAL WORK FOR PROJECT NO. 13-047 PUEBLO BOULEVARD ASPHALT TRAIL REPLACEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE THE SAME WHEREAS, proposals for PROJECT NO. 13-047 PUEBLO BOULEVARD ASPHALT TRAIL REPLACEMENT have been received and examined, and; WHEREAS, the proposal of DOUG VAUGHN, LLC, of Pueblo, Colorado was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. A contract for PROJECT NO. 13-047 PUEBLO BOULEVARD ASPHALT TRAIL . REPLACEMENT is hereby awarded to said bidder in the amount of $63,228.69 SECTION 2. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. SECTION 3. In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution. BACKGROUND This project will replace deteriorated asphalt paved trail with a concrete paved trail. The trail is located along the east side of Pueblo Boulevard between Northern Avenue and Lehigh Avenue. The new trail will be six inch thick and ten feet wide and will connect to existing concrete trails at both ends. Attached is a bid summary showing the result of competitive bids on this project. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds for this project will be paid from Project No. CP1111 – TRAIL RENOVATION.
