HomeMy WebLinkAbout12667RESOLUTION NO. 12667 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENT’S ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS (CONTRACTOR) – JOINT CITY/COUNTY APPOINTMENT WHEREAS, appointment to the Pueblo Regional Building Department’s Electrical Board of Appeals is a joint appointment of both the City Council and the County Commissioners pursuant to the provisions of the amended and restated Pueblo Regional Building Department Agreement between the City of Pueblo and Pueblo County, dated June 10, 1981; and WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on the Electrical Board of Appeals (Contractor) due to the resignation of Board Member Phil Marquez; and WHEREAS, following the PACOG meeting on April 25, 2013, members of the City Council and Board of County Commissioners who were present agreed to appoint Kevin Warmack to complete the three-year term expiring July 1, 2014; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO that: SECTION 1: Kevin Warmack is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Department’s Electrical Board of Appeals (Contractor) to complete the three-year term expiring July 1, 2014. RECOMMENDATION Approve Resolution. BACKGROUND: Due to the resignation of Board Member Phil Marquez, there is one term to be filled on the Electrical Board of Appeals (Contractor) – Joint City/County Appointment. This appointment will complete the 3-year term expiring July 1, 2014. In response to a Public Notice published in the Pueblo Chieftain on March 3, 2013 and listings on the Pueblo County website and Government Channel, one application was received from the following individual: Kevin Warmack – Resident of the City of Pueblo  Following the PACOG meeting on April 25, 2013, members of the City Council and the Board of County Commissioners who were present agreed to appoint Kevin Warmack to complete the three-year term expiring July 1, 2014. FINANCIAL IMPACT This is a volunteer board, and members serve without compensation.
