HomeMy WebLinkAbout08562ORDINANCE NO. 8562 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT, M086-061 (18698) BETWEEN THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY OF PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $20,000, ESTABLISHING CAPITAL PROJECT NO. DT1301 FOR THE GREYHOUND SHELTER PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT WHEREAS, the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation, has offered funds through Contract M086-061 (18698) – Greyhound Shelter Project; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Contract between Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the State of Colorado, for Project M086-061 (18698) (hereinafter referred to as the “Contract”), a copy of which is attached, having been approved as to form by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. Capital Project No. DT1301 is hereby established. Subject to encumbrances by the Colorado Department of Transportation, funds from contract M086-061 (18698), in the amount of $20,000 are hereby budged and appropriated for the Greyhound Shelter, Project No. DT1301. SECTION 3. The President of the City Council is authorized to execute and deliver the Contract in the name of the City and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. DT1301 FOR THE GREYHOUND SHELTER PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ISSUE Should City Council approve a Contract between the Colorado Department of Transportation and the City of Pueblo, budget and appropriate funds in the amount of $20,000 for the construction of a shelter at the Greyhound stop at the main Transit Center, Project No. DT1301, and authorize the President of City Council to execute same? RECOMMENDATION Approve the Ordinance. BACKGROUND The project covers the construction costs of a free standing, enclosed shelter at the Greyhound stop at the Pueblo Transit Center located at 123 Court Street. Funds in the amount of $20,000 have been made available by the FASTER Transit grant program from the Colorado Department of Transportation. FINANCIAL IMPACT Funds in the amount of $20,000 shall be budgeted and appropriated for the Greyhound Shelter Project, No. DT1301. There is no local match required.
