Home My WebLink About12562 RESOLUTION NO. 12562 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE SIGN BOARD OF APPEALS — JOINT CITY/COUNTY APPOINTMENTS WHEREAS, the Pueblo City Council and the Board of County Commissioners met following the PACOG Meeting held on Thursday December 6, 2012 and agreed to appoint Jeff Bailey (Electrician) and Richard L. Bassi (General Knowledge Person) to the Sign Board of Appeals; and WHEREAS, it is now the desire of the Pueblo City Council to ratify these appointments; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. Jeff Bailey is hereby appointed to the Sign Board of Appeals (Engineer) for a three-year term expiring October 31, 2015: SECTION 2. Richard L. Bassi is hereby appointed to the Sign Board of Appeals (General Knowledge Person) for a three-year term expiring October 31, 2015. RECOMMENDATION Approval of the Resolution. BACKGROUND Due to the term expirations of Incumbent Board Members Jeffery Bailey and Richard Bassi, there are two appointments to fill on the Sign Board of Appeals for an Engineer and a General Knowledge Person -- Joint City/County Appointments. Mr. Bailey and Mr. Bassi do wish to be considered for reappointment. In response to a Public Notice published in on September 23, 2012 The Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement posted on the City Clerk’s website seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, applications were received from the following individuals: Jeff Bailey (Engineer position)  Richard L. Bassi (General Knowledge position)  Following the PACOG meeting on Thursday December 6, 2012 members of the Pueblo City Council and the Board of County Commissioners agreed to re-appoint Jeff Bailey (Engineer) and Richard Bassi (General Knowledge Person) for three-year terms expiring October 31, 2015. FINANCIAL IMPACT This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
