from CP1109 Kiddie Ride Complex Improvements to PL1004 City Park Shelter
Enhancements?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
On December 13, 2010, Ordinance No. 8293, establishing the City Park Shelter
Enhancement Project No. PL1004 was approved by City Council budgeting and
appropriating $402,799 for improvements to City Park, including shade structures,
benches, and walkways at the Kiddie Ride facility. Pueblo County pledged to provide
$300,000 in funds from the proceeds of the 1-A County Ballot initiative approved in
November 2006 for improvements to the Kiddie Ride facilities. A portion of the
$300,000 County pledge, or $200,000, was used as matching funds for a GOCO grant
to provide additional improvements to the Kiddie Ride area. This Ordinance will transfer
funds in the amount of $200,000 from Capital Project, CP1109, Kiddie Ride Complex
Improvements to the City Park Shelter Enhancement Project, No. PL1004 approved in
Ordinance No. 8293. The remaining $100,000 will be utilized for other improvements to
the Kiddie rides.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The transfer of $200,000 from CP1109 Kiddie Ride Complex Improvement Project will
transfer the County 1-A Ballot funds that were pledged in Ordinance No. 8293 and
spend the 1-A County Ballot funds appropriately as identified in the County ballot
language.
