AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING, APPROPRIATING, AND
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $24,690 OF THE
REBATE MONEY RECEIVED FOR THE ENERGY
EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENTS TO CIAN20 – CITY
BUILDING REPAIRS
WHEREAS, on June 27, 2011, City Council approved a construction contract
between the City of Pueblo and Johnson Controls, Inc., to participate in a Utility
Company energy efficiency rebate program and;
WHEREAS, the City has received rebates from the utility energy efficiency
improvement program;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
Section 1.
Funds in the amount of $24,690 shall be transferred from the rebate money
received for the Energy Efficiency Improvements to Project No. CIAN20 – City Building
Repairs.
Section 2.
The amount of $24,690 is hereby budgeted and appropriated to Project No.
CIAN20 – City Building Repairs.
Section 3.
The Ordinance shall be effective upon final passage.

ISSUE
Should City Council budget, appropriate, and transfer funds in the amount of $24,690
from the rebate money received for the Energy Efficiency Improvements to Project No.
CIAN20 – City Building Repairs?
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Ordinance.
BACKGROUND
On June 27, 2011, City Council approved a Resolution authorizing a construction
contract between the City of Pueblo and Johnson Controls, Inc., to participate in a utility
company energy efficiency rebate program. Said refunds in the amount of $24,690 are
requested to be transferred into CIAN20 – City Building Repairs, to complete the phase
2 report for proposed energy efficiency improvements to Public Buildings.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $24,690 will be transferred into CIAN20 – City Building Repairs.
