HomeMy WebLinkAbout12486RESOLUTION NO. 12486 A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONVEYANCE BY QUIT CLAIM DEED OF A PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY FROM PUEBLO, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION TO PUEBLO COUNTY FOR THE COUNTY’S EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER AND AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO EXECUTE SAME BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The conveyance of a parcel of land described in the attached Quit Claim Deed dated September 10, 2012 from Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation to Pueblo County is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The President of the City Council is authorized to execute and deliver the Quit Claim Deed in the name of the City and the City Clerk is directed to affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. The City Clerk shall, after execution and acknowledgment by the officers of the City and Pueblo County record the Quit Claim Deed in the records of the Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder. RECOMMENDATION Approve the Resolution. BACKGROUND The block between Main Street and Santa Fe Avenue where the new County EOC will be constructed contains a small parcel of land owned by the City. The County has requested that the City quit claim this small parcel to the County in order that it will hold title to the entire parcel. The County will be required to dedicate an easement on the larger site for a sanitary sewer line. FINANCIAL IMPACT Unknown.
